Next Saturday and Sunday Navan Rugby Club will host two Leinster Rugby events. Sunday will see the Leinster Mini Rugby festival for girls teams up to the age of 12
The day before sees the Leinster Youths’ Finals for girls under 16 and under 18.
While the Minis’ Event which begins at 10.30am is a festival aimed at fun and participation, the finals the day before, represents the business end of the season for teams that have competed province wide since September. Twenty teams from all over Leinster will be represented and hopes will be very high of a home win in at least one of the Finals. Visitors are very welcome to the Club on either day and both offer a great opportunity for those who would like to see some top class rugby action at first hand. With Rugby becoming an Olympic Sport and the success of the Ireland Ladies team internationally, Navan RFC are delighted to have been selected to host two such prestigious events.
With Guest Eve Higgins who played in the World Cup Sevens for Ireland in San Francisco her success as a result of years of dedication since taking up rugby at the age of eight.
