Blue Dragons Inclusive Tag Rugby Team :
After several months of planning, on Sunday the 22nd of October the clubs newest team had its first training session.
The NRFC Blue Dragons Tag Rugby team caters for people with special needs and intellectual disabilities.
The team is fortunate to have enthusiastic coaches, mentors and volunteers. They ensure the kids have lots of fun learning the game of tag rugby in a safe and secure and fun-filled environment. We have tried to spread the message as far and wide as possible through the team’s Facebook page.
There are lots of photos on the page of our first training session.
Our good friend Austin McPartlin took some great shots. The page has already gathered nearly 200 likes!
We need your help to let people know that we have an Inclusive Tag Rugby Team in Navan Rugby Club.
So please like our facebook page, share its message, share the posters which Jake has kindly designed and hopefully, the team will grow.
The inclusive rugby project committee would like to thank the executive, our club chairman Leo Finlay and our past President Gerry Williamson, President David Cullivan and the Club Director of Rugby John McEntagart for their continued support in our endeavours. We also have help from the Meath Sports Partnership, Leinster Rugby and the IRFU. It is an exciting time for all involved but with your help, we can grow to be bigger and better every week.
We train every Sunday morning from 10-11am.
