U12 Girls Seapoint Festival 2018

Over the last few months, our u12 girls have become everything you could want from a team. Not only have they the flair to score tries, bravery to make tackles, work ethic at the breakdown but they are also having great fun doing it.

Sunday, they went to Seapoint, for the final festival of the season, and all their hard work on cold, wet Saturday mornings through the winter paid off.  They comfortably won against Skerries, Greystones, Wicklow and Mullingar.

Emma Brogan scored a ridiculous fourteen tries on the day. Sarah Molloy was next with five tries. Emily Flynn managed four. Kym McGrath and Alex Connor scored two each. And of course, Molly Murphy doesn’t like to go home without scoring a try. None of these tries would be possible without the hard work of Lia MacEwan, Olivia Finnegan, Kate O’ Reilly, Katie Kearney (no relation of Rob or Dave), Katie Clarke, Lillian Brady and Lucy Delaney.

Special mention to Emily Flynn, Sarah Molloy and Kym McGrath who took turns making up the numbers for Skerries. True sportsmanship.  Molly’s Mam, Amanda deserves a mention also for acting as a human tackle bag during the warm up. She was a natural.

Look forward to seeing this gang in action, again, next season.
