Seán Gallagher has recently been appointed a full-time referee by the IRFU. He joins a newly formed department of professional referees that include Andy Brace, George Clancy, John Lacey, Frank Murphy, Joy Neville and David Wilkinson. Seán played with Navan RFC for many years and was made an Honorary Life Member of the club in 2015. He took up refereeing in 2005 and since then has officiated at all levels of the game, including the Guinness Pro 14, the European Champions Cup and in World Rugby Internationals. This season he refereed at the Women’s Rugby World Cup in Ireland. This is a wonderful achievement, one that we as a club could not be prouder of. The very best of luck to Seán with his very impressive career to date and we look forward to what the future brings.

Seán has a busy few weeks coming up. He will referee Cardiff Blues v Zebre in the Guinness Pro 14 and Spain v Brazil in the November Internationals. He is also assistant referee for Leicester Tigers v Castres, Barbarians v Tonga and Wales v Georgia.
